@ THREE POOLS FARM WALES

dance as a way of life

First step is to step in.

What happens when we shift from thinking to feeling, from pondering to moving?
The idea of Dancing Body originates in the simplicity of the deep and reoccurring collective desire to gather and dance for hours and days.

The current culture guides us to dance floors either in designated genres of dance and subsequent classes and workshops or into the sweaty and always unpredictable dance floor of a bar, club, festival. Resting on the perhaps a bit too optimistic of an idea that the two can join together we create a 3 day immersive dance experience that will leave us full of surprises, new bodily sensations, shifts of perspectives, dance floor epiphanies, embodiment of human and other frequency vibrations.

Dancing across styles of dances will challenge not only our senses, but our gravity and spatial awareness. From partner to group dancing we will shift the weight from what it is to cultivate your own dancing body into jointly co-creating one. Free-flow intuitive, but human-led, types of dances invite our inner most artist to express the deepest vision of our souls.
This event does not require previous dance experience.

We love curiosity and questions! Does Dancing Body sound like exactly what you were waiting for? And you have something to tell us? To show and give and contribute? Why don’t you tell us…

meet the dancer behind the dancing body

An avid dancer and explorer, Dunja has been exploring the intricacies of dance for most of her life. Growing up in Belgrade, Serbia, dance was the chosen medium of expression and a safe heaven. From ballet to jazz ballet in child years, to street dance and hip hop in her late teens, Dunja ended up dancing around London’s dance floors and schools for the entirety of her 20ties, deepening her growth and development as a mover and shaker. With a background in Economics and Behavioural Sciences and experience in finance and tech-start ups there always existed a gap between her innate soul’s purpose and everyday life demands. Dancing Body is a step into the realm of realisation of her true gift to this world.
Dunja has trained in dance facilitation and has held multiple ‘free-flow led dances’ around London and UK. Her evolution within her own inner exploration of what the connection between the mind, the body and the soul is, continues persistently and she finds herself gravitating between the worlds of dance, therapeutic practices, tantra, yoga, surf and kitesurf, dj-ing and music.

Dancing Body represents a step in the right direction of uniting humans to feel their essence through simply dancing. Although it’s not everybody’s go to choice of ‘embodiment’ Dunja believes that it takes just a bit of courage to show up and enter the realm of self-discovery and break-through.
